Lily Newman

Lily is a behavioural strategist and leadership consultant with 20 years’ experience of building better businesses and stronger teams. An ex-BBC journalist with a first-class honours degree in Communications (majoring in psychology and corporate communications) Lily has worked with a wide range of company leaders and household names, helping them to understand, communicate with and influence their staff, stakeholders and audiences more effectively. A brand development specialist, she also works with companies to help them develop ‘value building behaviours’ within their workforces, ensuring that brand values get off the paper and into the culture of their businesses.

Lily is also lead tutor on the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Programme at the Faculty of Business and Law at Manchester Metropolitan University and the founder of Frontline, a project which trains wounded ex-servicemen and women to become motivational speakers.

She is a razor sharp keynote speaker who delivers speeches on motivation, behavioural change and influence at corporate lunches and conferences across the UK. Thirty years in business, working with people from all walks of life, from top celebrities and business leaders, to orphans in the slums of Sub-Saharan Africa, provide the foundations of her engaging and memorable stories which underpin strong lessons in leadership and communication.

She set up 'Tuesday Club' a membership group for people of all ages who want to take on new challenges and develop new skills, making sure that they don't wait until retirement to start their bucket list. Her passion is triggered by helping people from all walks of life to deliver their best and create vibrant, exciting, challenging and supportive cultures in which people are encouraged to achieve their potential.

Lily is also a lifetime comedy junkie who has managed tours and fronted comedy events for some of the UK’s biggest names (including Jo Brand, Jonny Vegas, Dave Gorman, Chris Addison and Peter Kay) during her time as Head of Corporate Fundraising and Celebrity Events for a national charity. She recently organised a 24 hour 3 Peaks Charity Challenge for 17 of the funniest people in Britain and found that many of them had lost their sense of humour by the time they crossed the finishing line.
